aqui vamos...a envasar se ha dicho! /Here we go... let's canning!

OK, todo empezo con un sentimiento por saber que papel tengo como esposa, madre y creadora de mi hogar. En ocasiones me sentia como esclava del hogar en lugar de "home-maker". Asi que en secreta oracion en mi mente y corazon pregunte a mi Padre Celestial que es lo que espera El de mi, pues mis intencion es crear un HOGAR feliz. 

Mis pensamientos seguian aterrizando en el concepto de 'El Almacen del Hogar'. Aunque la idea me parece abrumadora en ocasiones, mi horizonte se aclaro de dudas en la actividad especial que tuvimos en el Barrio sobre almacenamiento en el hogar (14-Junio-2013). Lo mejor de todo es que Max pudo acompanarme!

OK, all started with the desire to know what role I play as wife, mother, and home-maker. Sometimes I felt more like a slave of the home than a home-maker. Thus in silent prayer I asked My Father in Heaven what He expects of me since my heart-desire is to create a happy HOME.

My thoughts kept landing on the Home Storage concept. Althought the idea seem ovewhelming, my horizon cleared after a Church activity about prescisely Home Storage (14-June-2013). The best of all was that Max could be there also!

Con un espiritu renovado y una vision mas clara de mi deseo y deber de crear un HOGAR, Max y yo planeamos en la Noche de Hogar nuestras metas para crear nuestro almacen familiar. 
La clave para nosotros es empezar en pequena escala. 

paso 1: debido a que nos mudamos constantemente, decidimos comprar nuestra propia olla auto-clave (pressure canner). De lo contrario, algunas de las hermanas del Barrio estan mas que dispuestas a prestar sus ollas a otros para envasar!
paso 2: hemos hecho una breve colecion de recetas sencillas para saber exactamente que nescesitamos almacenar.
La olla ya ha llegado a casa y me muero por usarla! Probablemente envasaremos carne pollo el Sabado.

With a renewed spirit and clearer vision of my desire and duty to create a HOME, Max and I planned in our Family Home Evening our Home Storage goals.
The key for us is to start in a small scale.

step one: we decided to get our own pressure canner since we've been moving a lot from place to place. lately other wisse some sisters at church are more than happy to let others use their pressure canners.
step 2: we've made a small collection of  simple recipes to know what we need in our home storage.
The pressure canner arrived this week and I'm dying to use it! We'll probably can some chicken on Saturday, I'll keep you posted!

Nathan recibio un regalo de sus papas ahora que cumplio 1.5 años; un set the trenes y vias que le ha fascinado!

Nathan received a gift from his parents on his 1.5 years of life; it is a train set and he likes it!

bebe en camino! / Baby is coming!

La tan esperada noticia, Max y yo, oficialmente tendremos un bebe mas en casa este Diciembre.
Hoy tuve consulta y un ultrasonido, todo se ve muy bien y en orden.
Segun el progreso del bebe, calculamos su llegada el 19 de Diciembre, ustedes creen que nacera ese dia o no? sera nino o nina? Escribanme que piensan.

Nathan no tiene la minima idea de lo que le espera... y sus padres tampoco! Que coincidencias!

12 semanas. / weeks.

The so awaited news, Max and I, are welcoming a new baby this December.
Today I had my first appointment and all looks great.
The due date seems to be December 19th, what do you think, would baby arrive that day or not? would baby be a boy or girl? Let me know what you think.

Nathan does not have any idea of what awaits him and neither do his parents! Such a nice coincidence!
