Queridísima familia:
Este año es memorable por muchas razones. Primeramente Nathan cumplió un año el invierno pasado en Pennsylvania y a pesar de que la celebración fue simple y pequeña, tener a Nathan es y ha sido una gran bendición.
En Enero recibimos el año nuevo con galletas, en Febrero decoramos la casa con corazones. En Marzo viajamos a Utah, visitamos a la familia y estuvimos en la boda de Grace y Mike. Aprovechando el buen clima y la amena compañía de abuelos, tíos y tía, visitamos Zions Park también. Abril, anunciamos la futura llegada de nuestro segundo bebé que nacerá este mes de Diciembre. Estamos muy emocionados!
Mayo y Junio fueron los mejores meses para recoger fresas y arándanos azules (mejor conocidos por todos como “blue berries”) una de nuestras actividades/tradiciones familiares favoritas. Tras envasar nuestro motín visitamos el tianguis Amish un par de fines de semana y compramos, jitomates (los mejores que hemos probado en mucho tiempo), pepinillos, calabacitas y ejotes.
En Julio volamos a Wichita, KS. en busca de departamento: nos asombró lo ventoso que el clima es. Mientras estábamos por acá festejamos el 4 de Julio admirando los fuegos artificiales, que a diferencia de otras ciudades como Provo y WIlliamsport donde la ciudad está a cargo de proveer tales, las personas disparaban éstos desde los patios sus casas.
Semanas después, en Agosto, empacamos nuestras pertenencias y emprendimos nuestro viaje de mudanza, visitando sitios históricos de la Iglesia en Kirtland, OH. y Nauvoo, IL. Cabe mencionar que Nathan es un buen viajero y que le gusta acampar.
Al llegar a Wichita lo primero que hicimos fue dormir, a la mañana siguiente llamamos al presidente del quórum de Élderes para ayudar a Max a instalar la secadora y la lavadora, el domingo inmediato a nuestra llegada fuimos a la capilla. Nuestro nuevo barrio nos dio una amigable y cálida bienvenida. Sólo días después grandma, grandpa y uncle Keith nos visitaron y nos unimos a ellos en el viaje a Mckinney, TX. para la bendición de la pequeña Náutica.
En el mes de Septiembre Max disfrutó de buen clima para ir a trabajar en bicicleta. En Octubre fuimos llamados a servir en nuestro barrio como líder de guardería y secretario de los Hombres Jóvenes. Como es de esperarse, a Nathan le gusta ser parte de la guardería.
Noviembre, tuvimos la mejor y más tradicional celebración de acción de gracias en la granja de Dana y Doug (compañera de trabajo de Max) viendo fútbol americano, disparando a discos de barro, viendo a las ovejas y al caballo, paseando en la propiedad, y comiendo deliciosa comida; ah! y disfrutando de buena compañía.
Y ahora en Diciembre sólo contamos los días para el segundo cumpleaños de Nathan y la llegada del bebé, y de los abuelos con el tio Rodrigo.

Dearest family,
This year has been memorable for many reasons. Firstly, Nathan turned one year old last winter in Pennsylvania. He is and has been such a great blessing in our lives.
On January we welcomed the new year with cookies, on February we decorated our home with hearts and on March we travelled to Utah to visit family and celebrate Grace and Mike’s wedding. Taking advantage of the good weather and company we visited Zion’s National Park.
April, we were happy to announce the future arrival of our second son on December this year. We are very excited!
May and June were the best months to pick strawberries and blueberries; Nathan loves this family activity so much, we might need to pick some peaches here in Wichita sometime. After canning our harvest we visited the farmer’s market couple times and got green beans, zucchini, pickles, and the Amish tomatoes were the best we had in a long time.
On July we flew to Wichita, KS. to look for an apartment. We were amazed by the windy weather here and we celebrated the 4th. of July admiring the fireworks people shooted from their yards.
Weeks later, on August, we packed our belongings and started our long moving journey. In our way we visited historic Church sites in Kirtland, OH. and Nauvoo, IL. Nathan loved camping at Nauvoo!
The first thing we did when we arrived to Wichita was to sleep, next thing was calling the Elder’s quorum president to help Max install the washer and dryer. The very next Sunday we went to church; our new ward gave us a friendly and warm welcome. Just few days later Grandpa, Grandma, and Uncle Keith visited us and then all together travelled to Mckinney, TX. for little Nautica’s baby blessing. It was great to see family again!
On September Max enjoyed good weather to ride his bike to work. On October we received callings to serve in our ward as Nursery Leader and Young Men’s secretary. As you might guess Nathan loves being part of nursery!
November, we had the best and most traditional thanksgiving at Dana’s (Max’s co-worker) and Doug’s farm; watching football, shooting clay pigeons, watching the animals, taking rides around the property, eating great food, and having good company..
And now again on December we are counting the days for Nathan’s birthday and baby’s birth.
